I’m an incoming PhD student in the Perceptual Engineering Lab at MIT CSAIL, supervised by Prof. Jas Brooks. Previously, I was a visiting researcher in the Responsive Environments group at the MIT Media Lab, working on human augmentation and assistive technologies. I hold a master’s in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from EPFL.
My interests lie in the intersection of ultra-low-power wearables and embedded AI, with the goal of building self-contained assistive devices that restore and extend human capabilities, especially for people who have limited access to specialised care and equipment.
I am particularly drawn to systems that sit quietly on the body, sense subtle physiological or mechanical signals, and turn them into something useful in daily life, whether that is helping someone control a prosthetic limb, manage their glucose levels more easily, or communicate when speech is no longer possible.
A wearable silent speech interface that decodes facial micromovements into text in real time to restore communication for people with speech impairments.
An EIT-based wearable device for real-time hand gesture recognition and control of upper-limb prostheses.
A low-power wireless wearable device to facilitate autonomous insulin dosing for diabetic patients in a HW-in-the-loop fashion.
PCB redesign for Sam Chin's HapticHearing project: a 4.6× smaller, USB-C powered haptic driver for multi actuator speech augmentation.
